The dashmoto dash 3 is here, and it’s more than meets the eye. While technically it is a mobility scooter, it’s more like a sport mobility scooter or a super sport scooter. It’s sleek, lightweight, built from carbon fibre, maneuverable, and fast. Dashmoto talks of being inspired by McClaren, and after spending some time with the dash 3, I can see what they mean. Be sure to hit the video below to see it in action.
Setup
After setting up and reviewing a few e-bikes, one of the best things about the dashmoto dash 3 is how fast and easy it is to get it set up. There are no tires to put on, all you need to do is raise the handlebars and put the seat in place. Snap in the battery, and it’s ready to go.
Design
Simple and stylish, much thought has been put into the dash 3 and its incorporation of high-quality materials. Much like high-performance sports cars of today, like McLaren, the entire frame of the dash 3 is crafted from Carbon Fibre. This gives a durable frame while keeping the entire package as lightweight as possible.
That sport-car inspired design also carries into the color choices with bright, eye-catching orange and blue options and more subtle white and black colorways.
Conveniently tucked under the seat is a 280-Wh FAA-approved battery. Yes, dashmoto has ensured that the dash 3 is easy to take along on any airborne adventure. That standard battery can also be replaced with a non-FAA-approved 491 Wh long-range battery for longer run times on adventures around home.
Removing the seat and battery reduces the base weight to just 26 lbs. Altogether, the dash 3 weighs just 42 lbs—an impressive number for such a comfortable, powerful vehicle. With the seat removed, the dash 3 is easy to load in and out of the back of a vehicle.

Comfort
A key focus of dash 3 is operator comfort. A wide, high-density polyurethane foam seat provides plenty of support without discomfort, and the supportive backrest provides excellent lumbar support on longer rides as well.
dash 3 was designed to fit rides from 4’11” to 6’6” and up to 375 lbs. It’s quite comfortable for me, 6’1”, and it was also easy for my seven- and nine-year-old kids to operate. The entire seating position is neutral and comfortable, with footrests.
In-Use
Along with a comfortable ride, dash 3 is about as simple to operate as they come. The twist throttle is gentle but responsive. The single brake lever on the right handle operates the dual disc brakes on the rear wheels. It is easy to reach and very responsive. The dash 3 has no problems coming to a quick stop when necessary. When powered on, dash 3 has a “hold” mode that will keep it from rolling around and when parking, a brake lock can be applied to keep the dash 3 from moving.
Speed and range
dash 3 offers three different modes and a reverse option. Walk mode tops out around 4mph and is easy-going for navigating busy sidewalks and interior pathways like a grocery store.
Cruise mode increases the top speed to 8mph, making it quicker to get around. Sport mode unlocks the powerful 500W motor and can push the dash 3 up to 18mph for an exciting ride.
The standard battery delivers up to 15 miles of range, while the long-range battery can go up to 25 miles.
Premium mobility
Altogether, the dashmoto dash 3 is impressive with its easy-to-use design and responsive driving dynamics. It’s as fun to ride as it is comfortable. It truly feels like a sports-car variant on the electric scooter.
