While we are now tracking a light 10% price drop on the standard models with Find My, Journey has quietly introduced a new, more premium model of its LOC8 Key Organizer, this time with the same Apple tracking and a higher-end Nappa leather finish. We have featured a number of ultra-affordable keychains sporting Apple Find My tech around here over the last couple months, many of which coming in at a fraction of the price of the Journey model. But not many of them, if any, look nearly as nice as the LOC8 variants to my eyes. Journey delivers a more elegant solution of organizing your keys than just about every model we have tested or even seen that also feature Find My tracking, and the new LOC8 URBAN model follows suit.
While I am still fan of the standard and slightly more affordable model, the touch of leather wrapped around the outside of the new URBAN model immediately caught my eye, delivering a higher-end and more premium look. Journey says it is employing a supple Nappa leather on its latest model alongside the usual combination of aluminum alloy and stainless steel found on the standard edition.
All of that said, it appears to be otherwise identical the original model, including the onboard bottle opener tool and box-cutter that flips out just like the keys you’re about to install in it. Speaking of which, the tool-free installation is a nice touch here – there’s a simple flip up thumb screw in place that comes undone so you can insert up to six keys within.

The Apple Find My action is said to work much like you would expect from any third-party gadget that has it. You simply load it up into the Find My app on iPhone and you’re set to go. You can make the key organizer ring via the onboard speaker using the Find My app alongside access to the usual location data.
As far as battery life goes, it will run for up to 4 months at a time on a single charge before you’ll need to pull out the included cable and juice it back up (Journey says it takes about an hour to charge back up to full).
Okay so it looks quite nice, I do like the leather vibes here, and I can certainly appreciate the Find My, but you’re going to pay for it. The $89.99 Journey is asking for here seems a bit steep considering we are taking about a super basic leather treatment. Having said that though, there’s not very many options out there that looks quite as high-end as this one that also carry Find My action – you’ll probably just want to wait until it goes on sale.
